Garbage & Hazardous Waste

Residents who live in a single family unit in the Village and Town of Somers receive weekly curb-side garbage and bi-weekly household recycling services.  The Village and Town of Somers contracts these services with a private vendor.  The costs are included in the Village and Town of Somers budget and paid by property owners in their annual tax bill.

The Village of Somers operates a Yard Waste Center to compost or recycle specified organic yard materials.  It is located on the Village/Town Hall property and all Village and Town residents are welcome to use it free of charge.
