United Hospital System Opens Doors in New Somers Location

The Somers Medical Office Building is open for business!

On August 20, 2014, United Hospital System broke ground for a 3-story, 31,000 square foot building located in the Somers Market Center on the corner of Highway 31 and Highway S in Somers, Wisconsin. On Friday, August 15, 2015, one year later, the welcome doors were open for many to tour the new completed facility. Below is the open house welcome speech presented by George Stoner, President of the Village of Somers.

“To everyone at United Hospital System, congratulations on the completion of this beautiful medical center building, and thank you, for bringing top notch health care services to our community. This is the first medical center to be built in the Village of Somers, and we are excited you chosethis location to be your new home. Many of you here today were part of the team that was involved in getting this project started and finished. Thank you all for your efforts. The landscaping, and building exterior and interior, represents pride in workmanship, resulting in the beautiful building we are standing in today. The Village of Somers is experiencing a significant amount of development activity. We are confident that that increased jobs, new housing, and further commercial development will bring United Hospital System and the Somers Market Center much success. Again, welcome to Somers!” – George Stoner

The new facility features occupational and physical therapy services, and internal medicine and family practice physician offices. The lower level includes a physical therapy pool with in-water treadmills, underwater cameras, changing rooms, and lockers. The third floor is unfinished at the time but will easily accommodate added services as demand increases.

It is expected in late fall 2015, an Immediate Care Clinic, located on the second level will be open to the community.
