The Village of Somers held a Special Election on June 9, 2015 to elect a Village President and Trustees. The election results below were certified at the Board of Canvassers meeting held Monday, June 15, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Somers Village/Town Hall and resulted in the following people being elected:

Stoner, George – 239 votes
Village of Somers Trustees – 2-Year Terms
Aupperle, Jack – 199 votes
Brokmeier, Al – 223 votes
Heinisch, Richard – 195 votes
Village of Somers Trustees – 1 year Term
Dave Geertsen, Dave – 233 votes
Cardinelli, Joe – 215 votes
Harding, Larry – 202 votes
The new Village President and Trustees will be seated on June 18, 2015. Town of Somers Supervisors Brokmeier, Heinisch, and Stoner all reside in the Village and are no longer eligible to serve on the Town Board. The remaining Town Board consists of Ben Harbach, Chairman, and Judy Schantek, Supervisor, leaving three Supervisor positions vacant. The Town Board will convene to address both the vacancies and future size/composition of the Town Board.
