Village of Somers residents Darwin and Joyce Behlke and Tom and Jackie Nelson have organized a Forum for the seven candidates vying for the three Village of Somers Trustee positions.  The organizers will act as hosts and moderators.

The purpose of this Forum is to provide a service to the voters of the Village of Somers.  Recognizing that the business and development climate, financial strength, and characteristics of our community can be influenced by decisions of Village Trustees, this Forum provides the opportunity for everyone to hear what the candidates have to say about issues that will impact the Village of Somers.  This is a non-partisan Forum and not a debate.

Candidates will be asked prepared questions from the Moderator.  No questions are allowed from the audience during the Forum.  However, a “meet and greet” reception will be held immediately after the Forum for Somers voters to personally discuss issues and ask questions of the candidates.

The Forum will start promptly at 6:30 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Leon Dreger Auditorium at the Somers Village/Town Hall and the Forum will end at approximately 8:00 PM.

The seven candidates vying for the three Village Trustee positions are: Lee Broadway, Sr.; Joe Cardinali (Incumbent); Dave Geersten (Incumbent); Steven Grenawalt; Chaz Medina; Karl Ostby (Incumbent); and Esther Roberts.  All seven candidates have confirmed with the organizers that they will attend the Forum.

The date for the Village of Somers Trustee election is Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
