At a Plan Commission public hearing held Monday, June 11, 2018, residents had the opportunity to voice opinions and ask questions about the future land use plan for properties primarily in the northwest corner along I-94 and south of County Highway KR. Resident concerns included sewer and water availability, increase in truck traffic, stormwater and flooding, environmental areas, bike paths, and maintaining high standards for commercial, business park, and residential housing developments. Following almost two hours of public questions and answers by Plan Commission Chair, President George Stoner, the Plan Commission voted 5-0 in favor of approving the land use plan. Their recommendation will be discussed at a future Village work session followed by a Village Board of Trustee final vote.
