Somers Plan Commission will hold a meeting on Monday May 11th, 2020. This meeting will be held via Webex/Audio Conference. The agenda for the meeting is available here, and the information packet is available here.

No in person attendance for the entire meeting will be allowed. Those who wish to make a general comment under the citizen’s comments portion of the agenda may do so in advance of the meeting by electronic mail to the Village Clerk/Treasurer at  [email protected], or submit them in the drop box located at the Village Hall at 7511 12th Street, Somers to the attention of  Kitzman. Your comments will be read into the record during the Citizens Comment portion of the meeting.  Please limit your comments to fit within the allotted five minutes per person and follow  the Rules of Decorum, as these will be enforced.

If you wish to physically attend to give your testimony, staff will be at the door to the Village/Town Hall to let you in one at a time and then escort you from the building after the completion of your testimony. This procedure will be used to maintain fewer than 10 people in the Public Hearing and maintain social distancing.

  • Public Hearing & action on request by Metz Machines, LLC, 8315 18th St., Kenosha, WI 53144 (Owner), to obtain a Conditional Use Permit for a motorcycle sales & service business in the B-5 Wholesale Trade and Warehousing Dist. on Tax Parcel #82-4-222-281-0130, located in the SE ¼ of Section 28, T2N, R22E, Village of Somers.   • Action on request by First Park 94 LLC, 1661 Feehanville Dr. Suite 400, Mt Prospect, IL 60056 (Owner), for approval of a Certified Survey Map (dated 3-16-20) by John P. Konopacki of Pinnacle Engineering Group) to re-subdivide Lot 2 of CSM No. 2825 (tax parcel # 82-4-222-282-0122) into one (1) 49.0816-acre parcel, one (1) 4.6419-acre Outlot and one (1) 180.8441-acre parcel.  Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21 and Northwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 2 North, Range 22 East, Village of Somers.  For informational purposes only this parcel is located at the northeast corner of CTH S (38th Street) and CTH H (88th Avenue).
  • Action on request from Blue Paint Development, LLC., 6320 20th Avenue (Owner), David Wallach (Agent), for Conceptual Approval of a 96-unit, 4-story multi-family apartment development on approximately 5.57 acres on Tax Parcel(s) #83-4-223-082-0180, -0185, -0190, -0195, -0200, located in the NW ¼ of Section 8, T2N, R23E, Village of Somers.  Said conceptual approval is subject to approval of a comprehensive land use plan amendment, rezoning, a PUD Planned Unit Development Overlay District and stormwater plan.
