Appraisers from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue Bureau of Equalization will be visiting real estate parcels sold in 2019 as part of an assessment review.
The process will start in mid-February.
It is part of a wider effort involving the counties of Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha.
The review involves viewing the land and improvements from the road. Appraisers may take photos of the property and, in some cases, talk to the buyers and sellers involved in the real estate transaction.
The information gathered will aid the Department of Revenue identify market value of agricultural, undeveloped and forest land in each county.
The work is expected to be completed by April 30, 2020.
Department of Revenue employees will have a state-issued photo ID with them at all times.
The following appraisers will be performing the reviews: Brittney Rogers and James Geibl.
