The Somers Fire Department and first responders from other departments took part in the annual Kenosha County Safety Fair on Sept. 28 in Sam’s Club parking lot at 3300 Brumback Blvd.
Demonstrations included motor vehicle extrication (Jaws of Life), a room-fire simulator, dive team techniques and equipment, technical rescue, Kenosha Sheriff K-9 officer Arlo demonstrated techniques and many more. First responders were available to answer questions from the public and show them equipment first hand.
The annual event is a great way for kids and families to see the equipment and meet fire fighters and law enforcement personnel.
