A public meeting was held at the Somers Village/Town Hall on February 3, 2016 where residents could view conceptual designs and ask questions regarding the improvement of 2.3 miles of County S from County H to Brumback Boulevard which leads into Somers Market Center, anchored by Wal Mart and Sam’s Club. Highway S currently consists of two 12-foot wide travel lanes.  The Kenosha County improvement plan proposes a four-lane divided roadway.  An informational hand-out was made available that includes project description, location maps, and alternative analysis.  Click here to view.

Kenosha County officials confirmed the project is in its study phase where public input is encouraged.  The next public meeting has been scheduled for May, 2016.

Questions and comments about the project should be directed to Gary Sipsma, Kenosha County Public Work Director at (262)857-1870 or [email protected].
