Somers recycled 800 tons in 2015, a 22.5% increase from 2014.  Recycling in one container has encouraged residents to increase their recycling activity.  Thanks to all of you, we can make a difference, one community at a time.

How much did we save in pick-up costs?
The 2015 change in garbage and recycling vendors (from Waste Management to Advance Disposal) will save Somers taxpayers up to $500,000 during the new 5-year contract.
