Introduction

The Chairperson of the Town Board of Supervisors shall preside at all meetings of the Town board.  The Board shall meet on the second (2nd) Tuesday of each month.  In the absence of the Chairperson, the Town Clerk/Treasurer shall call the meeting or order and preside until the members present select a Supervisor to preside at that meeting.
 

The Somers Town Board has a Board-Administrator form of government.  Under this form of government, the elected Town Board sets the policies for the operation of the Town government.  The administrative responsibility of the Town rest with the Town Administrator who is appointed by the Town Board.

Regular Meetings

Regular meetings of the Town Board of Supervisors shall be held on the second Tuesday of each calendar month at 6:00 p.m., or immediately following the Village of Somers Board of Trustees meeting, unless changed by a majority vote of the Board for a good reason.  Any regular meeting falling on a legal holiday may be held at any other secular day at the same hour and place as determined by the Town Board.

The Agenda is also available at the Auditorium door prior to the meeting.  Items listed will be considered at the meeting.  The public is invited to comment during the citizen comments portion of the meeting, and at any public hearing listed on the Agenda.
