On June 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM, Tim Kitzman, Clerk –Treasurer, publicly opened proposals received from contractors for the Somers 2017 paving projects.  At the Village Board meeting held June 27, 2017, the Trustees approved the low bidder, Stark Paving, to complete the projects below at a net cost of $345,842.08.

 

  • Foundation prep, intersection mill, heavy tack coat, asphalt overlay layer, manhole adjustment, asphalt driveway, gravel driveway, shouldering for 11th Place: ($35,240.75) and 17th Street ($31,672.00).

 

  • Foundation prep, intersection mill, cross culvert, heavy tack coat, asphalt overlay layer, manhole adjustment, asphalt driveway, shouldering for 13th Street & 95th Avenue and 12th Place ($36,439.10).

 

  • Pulverize, grade and ditch, asphalt binder layer, asphalt surface layer, manhole adjust, asphalt driveway, sidewalk repair, narrow shoulder, wide shoulder, driveway culvert, cross culvert for 11th Street and 12th Place ($85,660.50).

 

  • Foundation prep, intersection mill, heavy tack coat, asphalt overlay layer, manhole adjustment, asphalt driveway, gravel driveway, shouldering, cross culvert for 52nd Avenue ($45,700.00).

 

  • Pulverize, grade and ditch, asphalt binder layer, asphalt surface layer, manhole adjustment, asphalt driveway, gravel driveway, shouldering, cross culvert, driveway culvert at 28th Street. The cost of this project is to be split 50/50 with the City of Kenosha.  Total project is $222,259.45.  Somers portion is $111,129.73.
